CLEAR + BRILLIANT™

Advanced Skin Tightening Laser Treatments

Treatments by: Leslie, Pennisi, RN, BSN, or Michelle Rife, Aesthetician

What is Clear + Brilliant? Clear + Brilliant is a unique treatment that uses safe, fractional laser technology to address early signs of aging skin and help to prevent them.

How does Clear + Brilliant work? Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser that refreshes your skin from the inside out. The laser energy creates millions of microscopic treatment zones in your skin, replacing damaged skin with healthy, younger looking tissue.

How long is the treatment? Clear + Brilliant treatments take about 20 minutes. We ask that you reserve one hour for your appointment.

How many treatments will I need? The number of treatments you will need depends on your desired outcome. In recent studies, consumers reported visible improvements after 4-6 treatments. We will discuss a personalized treatment regimen with you.

Who can benefit from Clear + Brilliant treatments? Clear + Brilliant is a beneficial treatment for women and men of all ages and skin types, who are looking to prevent the signs of aging, help address early signs of aging or maintain the look of their skin.

What kind of results can I expect? Your skin may feel softer and have improved tone, texture and radiance:

  • Naturally radiant and glowing skin
  • Visibly illuminated skin tone
  • Renewed, ultra-soft and smoother texture
  • Skin that looks clear and brilliant

When do the results appear, and how long do they last? The results of treatment are both immediate and progressive. A few days after the treatment, your skin will start to feel softer, look brighter and show more even tone. Results can last for months depending on your age, skin condition and how you protect your skin.

What will I look like immediately after the procedure? Can I go right back to work? Clear + Brilliant treatments are very gentle and are specifically designed to minimize the side effects of typical laser treatments. You may experience some redness and subtle inflammation right after the treatment.

These generally resolve within a few hours, but may last until the following day.

Does it hurt? Most patients describe an increased sensation of heat during the treatment. We will apply a topical anesthetic ointment before the procedure, which helps to minimize the discomfort during treatment. (Optional: We will also apply a cooling gel or cooling packs after the procedure to minimize any residual heat sensation.)

Who performs the procedure? Our staff has been extensively trained on the Clear + Brilliant treatments. In this office the procedure is performed by a RN and an aesthetician.

Can I avoid other cosmetic procedures if I do this? Each procedure has its own benefits. Clear + Brilliant is a great choice for rejuvenating your skin, helping to slow or prevent early signs of aging and maintain your skin – looking younger for longer.

Is it safe? The Clear + Brilliant treatment is very safe when used by a trained expert that will evaluate your skin and recommend the best course of treatment. Of course, as with any laser procedure there’s always some risk and/or downtime. Leslie and Michelle can discuss those with you during your consultation.

How much does the Clear + Brilliant treatment cost? The cost depends on the number of treatments you need for your desired results. We encourage you to come in for a consultation at which point we can give you a more precise idea of cost.

March 18,2020

To Our Patients,

The Surgeon General, the CDC, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery have all recommended delaying or postponing elective surgery and medically non essential patient visits during the Covid 19 pandemic as we anticipate an unprecedented strain on our Healthcare System. The Novant Healthcare System has cancelled/rescheduled all elective operations beginning 3/18/2020. They have not given a date when they anticipate opening their operating rooms for elective surgery and we will be monitoring that closely. Also, the CDC and Federal Government have recommended limiting social interactions to try to slow the spread of disease. For that reason Ballantyne Plastic Surgery will be operating on an extremely limited basis for the next two weeks or longer and only be seeing patients for medically necessary reasons. This is defined as patients whose health would be negatively affected if they are not seen. This will apply mainly to patients in the early post operative period. As of March 18, 2020 the following applies to Ballantyne Plastic Surgery:

  1.  All elective surgery is being cancelled and will later be rescheduled when the  operating rooms are open for elective procedures. Every effort will be made to accommodate your scheduling desires.
  2.  All medically non-essential patient visits will be rescheduled for a minimum of 2 weeks or however long the CDC and other governing agencies deem essential to limit the spread of Covid 19. This includes:
          a. All new patient consults
          b. All dermal filler and neuromodulator (botox) patients
          c. All aesthetic services (laser, skin pen, peels, etc.)
          d. All long term post surgical follow up patients unless there is a problem requiring immediate intervention
  3. Dr Liszka will determine who will be seen during this time period and you will be notified as to your appointment date. You also may call the office to discuss whether you need to be seen during this time

All of us at Ballantyne Plastic Surgery are very sorry to have to implement the above protocol for our practice and the impact it makes on our patient’s schedule and lives. This is an unprecedented medical problem and requires extreme measures. We believe this is necessary and in the best interest of our patients, staff, community, and country.

Sincerely,

Thomas G. Liszka, M.D.
